Psychotherapist Lisa Duncan, LSW

Hi! My name is Lisa. I graduated with my Master's of Social Work from Florida State University. I am new to individual therapy; however, I have worked as a licensed master social worker for almost a decade. I have extensive experience working with people from different religions, races, identities, and sexual orientations. It is my goal to provide my clients with a nonjudgmental space to receive care with dignity and respect. I also believe in taking a practical approach to therapy.  I am client-centered and solution-focused. I believe it is important not to push an agenda onto a client but instead meet them where they are at and help them navigate to where they want to be.

I have spent the past decade helping people connect with medical resources, housing, and employment to help remedy environmental factors that may be causing or aggravating underlying issues so we can focus on making meaningful and lasting change. My experience in navigating mental health issues within my immediate and extended family, as well as my personal experience with issues such as domestic violence, grief, anxiety, and depression, provide me insight and the ability to truly empathize with my clients.
