Psychotherapist Ioanna Panagiotidis, LSW

My name is Ioanna Panagiotidis and I would love the opportunity to work with you! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) working toward my Licensed Clinical Social Work (LMSW). I graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice and received a Master of Social Work from New York University.

My biggest strength has always been my empathy and patience, meeting my clients where they are. To be able to make a lasting and positive impact on individuals fulfills and motivates me. I have worked with adolescents, children, adults and families in foster care and adoption, as well as in a mental health clinic. My experience has been in dealing with issues of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, grief, bereavement and self-esteem issues. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, as well as a family system approach to assist clients in identifying their triggers and use effective coping skills. I utilize a strength-based approach, helping others use their strengths to improve their quality of life.

My confidence and passion comes from a strong desire to help individuals and families overcome hardships and problems. I believe in providing a non-judgemental and safe environment where a person can grow and thrive.
