Counselor Clarissa DeLuca , LAC

One of the life lessons I have learned through my practice and life experiences is that we may know what the next right thing maybe, but getting there oftentimes requires support, guidance, and self-trust. I truly believe we are all doing the very best we can with our present skill sets. Sometimes, we may already have existing support systems and still may not know which path to choose. Other times, we feel alone in moving forward and confused about if our choices are “right.” This is where I am hoping to help support you. I am a believer in the team effort. Whether that emotional team support be you and I alone, accepting me to your existing team of support or learning how to build the support you need both in yourself and within your present world around you. I come from a wide variety of professional experiences and training. I began my initial clinical training working with adults who were struggling with a variety of challenges. Some of these challenges included managing life transitions, stress, negative thinking patterns, self-advocating, challenges managing roles and relationships, and working with those managing late life challenges. I then transitioned to working with youth in managing mild trauma experiences and behavioral challenges. In my most extensive training, I have worked with adolescents, parents, and families in managing trauma experiences with TF-CBT, family conflict, family and cultural dynamic issues, communication challenges, parenting support, behavioral reactivity to stress and/or emotional experiences for clients of various ages/stages of life, and supporting clients with decision making that may affect their lives longer term. In the past year, I have expanded my experience with older youth managing neurodiversity. One thing that I would like people to know about me is that I can enjoy laughter often and adapt to many different thinking or learning patterns. I invite you to begin this journey with me as your genuine self, without fear of judgment or wondering if you are saying the “right” thing. Taking this step forward by choosing support is the best next right thing you can do, and I would be thrilled to support you in moving in whichever direction makes you most comfortable!
